Archaeological sites destroyed

The archaeological images I took last month (see “Journey to the edge”) appeared in various online and print news sites yesterday and today.

Over the weekend the geoglyphs in the "Quebrada Santo Domingo" archaeological site were plowed and destroyed by illegal farmers and land traffickers.

The images taken in March of the "triple spiral" were the last recording of these magnificent rock drawings, which date back over a 1000 years according to some archaeologists.
