Sustainable Gold Mining

 

Juan has been a gold miner in southern Peru all his life. It is a tough and risky profession. Sotrami is one of the first small-scale mines to be certified as a producer of Fairtrade and Fairmined gold. This short video presents the "day in the life" of Juan and highlights the work of the international NGO Solidaridad in helping the mine improve their social and environmental practices.
